Broward Health Maternity provides 24/7 ground and air transportation for urgent care you may need to arrive at the hospital. Specialists are always in-house for any of your or your baby’s urgent needs. Certified midwives, obstetricians, neonatologists, and anesthesiologists are always at the hospital for immediate care. The facility has 36 private postpartum suite-sized rooms with large showers and a vanity station. They have three deluxe suites available on a first-come, first-served basis for an additional charge. The deluxe rooms include more space for family members and a tea-time service.
While resting with your new baby, you can watch their dedicated Newborn Channel for information on how to care for your newborn and yourself postpartum. Expedite your visit for labor and delivery by pre-registering online. The registration will include basic information, insurance coverage, and emergency contacts. Alleviate your stress when visiting the hospital by completing the paperwork ahead of time. Speaking of stress on-site, they have licensed massage therapists available for sessions. Prior to birth, you can participate in their Prenatal Yoga 101 at the on-site fitness center.
Specialty
Broward Health Maternity’s fetal medicine specializes in high-risk pregnancies. Broward Health Maternity has one of the largest Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Florida. After birth, they conduct weekly parent support groups to connect with other parents and receive evidence-based healthcare information. Breastfeeding classes are available for expecting and new mothers. The information includes proper positioning, challenges you may face, and up-to-date topics on breastfeeding. After birth, you can utilize their breast pump rentals on-site, which are available at any time. Let’s chat about newborn photo sessions. As a mother myself, I love photographing babies the few days after birth. As a professional South Florida photographer, I can help you savor those moments in my studio when your baby is 8-12 days old. I provide all the props, outfits, and accessories for the session.
